Decoupaged Gifts
Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing cutouts of napkins, paper or fabric onto a surface, and sealing them with multiple layers of glue and varnish. The process can be done on multiple objects, such as glass, wood, ceramic, or clay, and completely transforms a plain item into a work of art! Almost anything can be decoupaged so, if you have something you’d like redesigned, contact me and we’ll brainstorm together. Here are some examples of decoupaged objects.
Clear glass vase, hand-painted and decoupaged with a napkin with lavender floral design.
Clear glass plate, reversed decoupage with a floral and bird’s nest design. Reverse decoupage is done on the back-side of the object so the front side can be used for food.
Glass, lampwork beads, which provide a dimensional look. These exquisite handmade beads are made using a glasswork technique called lampwork which is molten glass layered and shaped to create both simple and intricately decorated glass beads.
The glass brown beads used in this design have a metallic look to them and the lime green beads are slightly transparent and 3-dimensional. This earring and bracelet set will add a unique look to any outfit.
Hand-Crafted Jewelry
I source beautiful beads from multiple suppliers to make all types of unique designs and hand-crafted jewelry. My designs are developed from knowing what kinds of beads or elements to purchase and how to use them to create beautifully different jewelry pieces. As a result, most of my designs are one-of-a-kind.
This set is created with black and white ceramic beads each with it’s own design. The necklace is set off with a silver leaf clash which is so pretty it can be worn on the side, front or back of the necklace.
